TAVAD´s clinical research is aimed at improving treatment results and developing new treatments.

Two important feedback research mechanisms implemented in 1995 provide constant evaluation of the effectiveness of our treatments. The first enables for monthly evaluation of psychotherapeutic effectiveness meaning the scientific knowledge, empathy and ability to perform treatments. The second mechanism detects the success and failure factors of our treatments. Our research feedback mechanisms indicated the need for a faster cognitive restructuring of the patient and his family in order to increase treatment effectiveness.

A highly sophisticated video [*] made with computer infography, was developed in 1996 to speed the process of cognitive restructuring. This video received an award in 2000 as Spain's best scientific video and improved treatment results by 12%.

In some cases of dual pathology, effectiveness could not be 100%

Given that a significant percentage of our patients used cocaine on a daily basis and met the criteria for cocaine dependence, our research efforts were awarded with a completely new pharmacological treatment for cocaine dependence which was released in 2001.

Currently we have opened two new lines of research related to brain nutrition in the treatment of heroin and alcohol dependence together with the Institute of Nutrition of the Superior Scientific Research Council of Spain and other international companies.
