The Advanced Addiction Treatments centre (TAVAD) was established in 1988. Our main objectives are the treatment of drug abuse and clinical research to develop new and more successful addiction treatments.

░ What we do?
In recent years, we have been developing clinical research to achieve a new opiate abuse treatment. In 1993, we presented in Seville a new procedure for under sedation opiate detoxification, Ultra Rapid Opiate Detoxification (UROD), with wide repercussion in social and professional fields. For ten years, more than 1.700 patients have followed our treatment.

░ General Information About Treatments
Ultra rapid detoxification and neuroadaptation (DNA) (DNA) involves a range of treatments for opiate, alcohol, cocaine and tranquillizers (benzodiazepine) addiction. These treatments have been developed by our own medical and psychological staff, and they imply the recovery of brain areas damaged by drug use. Moreover, DNA allows for detoxification without withdrawal syndrome, and even without craving for most patients, with a 100% success rate.
When DNA restores brain areas damaged by drugs, patients go through fundamental psychological changes. They experience an important improvement of consciousness, self-esteem and relationships. On the other hand, our treatment allows a quick transition from addiction to a drug-free life, and patients don’t suffer withdrawal or craving, so they are highly motivated and participate in the process.

░ Clinical Research (New Treatments)
In clinical research field, we have developed three new treatments for alcohol, cocaine and tranquillizers addiction. All of them, as well as Ultra Rapid Opiate Detoxification (UROD), are based on neuronal activity regulation in those brain areas harmed by drug abuse. There is no suffering during treatment, so that the brain's physical recovery is completed in a short period of time.
Regarding our new alcohol abuse treatment, more than 82% of patients evaluated considering their pre and post-treatment psychological and physical information, have successfully gone through the first twelve months after discharge. It should also be noted that 100% of patients finished the detoxification period without withdrawal problems.

░ Alliances
Medical Technologies Evaluation Agency (AETS), dependent on Spanish Ministry of Health, has been working since 1997 with TAVAD, analyzing and evaluating our treatment programs and presenting them in scientific magazines and congresses. A research alliance is what TAVAD established with the most prestigious official research institution in Spain, the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas, dependent on Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology, through its Nutrition and Bromatology Institute.
TAVAD also has established training alliances with two major universities in Spain: Autonoma University of Madrid and Complutense University of Madrid, in addition to San Pablo University, CEU, which allows us to consolidate the ongoing projects.
