Treatment, Research and Teaching are our fundamental lines of action.

Treatment of addictions, including alcohol, heroin, cocaine and benzodiazepine addiction is our primary focus. In most cases, however, there is comorbidity, which means that when a patient suffers from alcohol dependence, the family and the patient suffer also from other disorders such as anxiety or depression. It is not possible to successfully treat alcohol dependence without treating anxiety and depression. For this reason, we employ specialists in these areas throughout our hospital network.

Prevention is another form of treatment. Virtual Drug Use and Virtual Drug Addiction is one of the most advanced prevention technologies. It is a patented software criterion which can be implemented in most multimedia games. The player uses drugs in games, experiences its effects and becomes a virtual addict. This technology has been tested in Israel, Spain and USA and the results are so impressive that in the year 2004 it will be marketed worldwide.

Research is the basic foundation of Treatment. Our policy of devoting 25% of our income to research has helped us to develop new and more effective treatments and prevention technologies. All of our above mentioned technologies have received international acclaim. In 1993 we developed UROD, a revolutionary for treatment for opiate addiction. Between 1993 and 1996 there was extensive international media coverage related to UROD treatment in Spain and other countries around the world. In September 2000 we made a worldwide presentation of our new treatment for alcohol addiction, which in a matter of a few hours eradicates withdrawal symptoms and recovers the individual's conscience.

Teaching the knowledge that we gather fulfills one of our major objectives which, is to contribute to the development and spread of knowledge. We utilize many different forms of media to accomplish this, such as scientific papers, postgrade courses and new technologies, such as live video streaming.
